    Dan

    Dan Spinks co-owner & head coach

    Started CrossFit: 2008
    Dan can spot bad movement from 500 yards and has made it his goal in life to home in on and attack the bad movement gremlins and convert all those who enter Outcast into smooth moving mobile ninjas. He has a sporting background of competitive gymnastics and martial arts during his teen years before discovering his first skateboard after watching Back to the Future way back in 1986. Nearly 30 years on he still frequents the whizzplank from time to time and treats CrossFit in the same way…..it needs to be fun, first and foremost!

    Rob Howells co-owner

    Started CrossFit: 2008
    Rob started as one of the very first members of CrossFit Swansea in 2008. He has a keen interest in olympic weightlifting and enjoys refining peoples techniques and helping them lift heavier and move faster. A golfist at heart Rob can give the ball one hell of a clout with his golf bats, his drive is now legendary and he claims it is all down to CrossFit.

    Ian

    Ian Evans co-owner

    Started CrossFit: 2010
    If strength & power is what you’re after, Ian is the guy. Extensive knowledge of powerlifting, sprinting and plyometrics allows him to create monsters out of us everyday folk. He has a knack of making you believe you are capable of huge feats of strength, if someone’s just hit a 1rm, bet’s are they can thank Ian for it.

    Owen

    Owen Pillai co-owner

    Started CrossFit: 2010
    It is strongly believed that Owen has the power to actually hover 2 inches from the ground when he runs, that’s how effortless he makes it look. Running is his bag, none of this organised marathon malarkey, he runs because he loves it and his attitude is infectious. His warm up games are legendary and many strongly think that once the warm up is over they are done for the session. You can guarantee a smile on your face when he leads a session. He also heads up our CrossFit Kids program and we can’t think of anyone better to do that. He is married to the inimitable Kerry.

    Kerry

    Kerry Pillai 

    Started CrossFit: 2010
    If you’re into health & fitness in South Wales and haven’t heard of Kerry then you must be living under a rock. She is he head honcho of Thin Lizzies Fitness, and heads up our ladies only sessions. Pre and post natal fitness is her speciality and she is passionate about keeping ladies in shape and preparing them for their pregnancy She believes in keeping active right through pregnancy and practices what she preaches, training right up to the day before giving birth to her first. She is now expecting little one number 2 and we are all excited as she is. She is married to the awesome Owen.

    Dai

    David Lees (intern)

    Started CrossFit: 2012
    With feathered hair and a hairless chest, Dai has won the hearts of coaches and members alike. Kettlebells are his bag and he simply won’t stand for any half squat, arm pulling, neck jerking swinging bolony. With many seasons spent playing rugby for Swansea Uplands RFC he has hung up his boots due to injury and now focuses on improving the human mind and body through functional movements performed at correct intensities. His favourite things are picking up and carrying heavy stuff, and shouting at people whilst they push the prowler.

    Kath

    Kath Lawson Hughes

    Started CrossFit: 2012
    Kath is our pilates guru and has made it her mission in life to turn peoples floppy midlines into cores of steel. She has a knack of making you sweat puddles by keeping still. She is also in the process of achieving her level 3 GP referral qualification and is passionate about improving peoples life through movement.
